Easter Sunday at Mount Dennis Baptist Church ✨

What a powerful and joy-filled celebration we experienced on April 5th!

On this Resurrection Sunday, we witnessed the beauty of new life in Christ through water baptism. Two came prepared and two others responded right there in the moment. Just like in Scripture, they heard the Word, believed, and stepped forward in faith.

“And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, ‘See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?’… and he baptized him.” (Acts 8:36–38, ESV)

Baptism is more than a moment, it is an open declaration of our faith, a public testimony that we identify with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection.

“We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too might walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4, ESV)

We were also deeply blessed by our Sunday School children and Young Adult Ministries, who presented an Easter playlet titled “Jesus Is Risen.” Through their heartfelt dramatization, we were reminded again of the power of the cross and the empty tomb.

“That Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4, ESV)

Because He lives, we don’t just celebrate the resurrection, we walk in it.

After the service, we gathered as a church family to break bread together in a joyful feast, sharing laughter, fellowship, and gratitude for all God has done. It was a beautiful expression of community and love.

And of course, the celebration continued as the children went out to enjoy more fun together, full of energy, joy, and Easter excitement!

What a day of victory, faith, and new beginnings.
Truly, Jesus is risen! 🙌
